Acknowledgements: (so
far, in no particular order!)
Thanks to: Robin Read whose mentions of Sy in his book "Colin
Chapman's Lotus" piqued my interest, to John Watson who
shared that my Seven had been imported by Sy and who directed
me to Robin Read's book, Michael Gee for copies of letters written
by Sy which provided interesting stories about the 23 and dealing
with Lotus on a business level, to William Colson for details
on Sy's Lotus XV and subsequent conversion to V8 power, to Pat
Dennis for clarification of the "Used Engine Question"
etc., and to John Murphy of Kaback Inc., who initially contacted
Sy and his wife to tell them of my interest.
Great thanks of course
are also due to Sy himself and to his wonderful wife, Cynthia
Parker Kaback, who has facilitated communication with Sy by transcribing
his comments as well as notes from his scrapbooks.
