Lotus Seven "America" Assembly Instructions
As provided by Grand Prix Imported Cars
If you have found this page, you have hopefully already seen my write up on Sy Kaback and Grand Prix Imported Cars. And you also ought to know by now that my 1961 Lotus Seven is a 'Seven America'...

So what we have here is a reproduction of the Assembly Instructions for a Lotus Seven America, as provided by Grand Prix Imported Cars. As you can see, the original document was somewhat distressed and the mimeographed text was probably more easily readable when it was fresh! But, I have captured the 9 pages of instructions and assembled them, along with the cover letter from Dorothy L. Brown, Secretary Treasurer for Grand Prix Imported Cars, into a neat little booklet. The first and last pages of the booklet are reproduced below so you can see the quality.

If you are lucky enough to own a "Grand Prix" Seven, I would like for you to have a copy of this booklet! Below the images, I've listed the chassis numbers of the Lotus Sevens imported by Kaback/Grand Prix, or his primary company name: Weathermatic Corporation! Just email me at [email protected] with evidence of the chassis number of your Seven, and I'll be happy to send you a copy.

If you are not so lucky as to own a Grand Prix Imported Cars Lotus Seven, you are welcome to make a nominal donation to SimpleSevens (not less than $25 please ($30 if outside the continental US) PayPal payment to [email protected] and I'll be happy to send you a copy of the ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS asap!
